Today, I’ll take you to the Lake District in the UK with the refreshing Lady of the Lake gin cocktail. It only takes 5 minutes to make and it’s a real winner. All you need is a gin, cocktail syrup, fizzy apple & plum drink, lime juice and dried apple slices to garnish.
The Pennington’s Lakeland moon snowfell gin is distilled in Kendal, the Lake District, UK and it’s 40% ABV.
Botanicals: Juniper, Fennel Seeds, Almond Powder, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Grapefruit Peel, Coriander, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Liquorice, Cassia Bark.Â
Tasting notes: To begin, clean and fragrant citrus alongside a balanced note of spice on the nose. On the palate you are greeted with a good mouthfeel and the slight astringency of the lemon peel, followed by the gentle warmth of a combination of spices that intensify the juniper-led flavour profile.
Pennington’s recommend serving Lakeland Moon Gin with Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic or Fever Tree Premium Indian Tonic. Or for the true Gin connoisseur, simply serve over ice with a twist of orange peel.
