The Benefits of Almonds

Almonds are the perfect nuts to add to any sweets and baked foods like cookies, cakes, muffins. They lends a pleasant taste and invigorating crunch to anything they are added to. But you can just enjoy them as plain, roasted or salted, raw or baked.

Eating a few pieces (about 4-5 almonds) of soaked almonds first thing in the morning can offer several health benefits – from supporting digestion and aiding weight loss to improved heart health. Packed full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and healthy fats, adding this super food to your morning ritual can do wonders for your health.

There are numerous benefits of almonds but I’ll list only a few:

  • Rich in antioxidants
  • Lower blood sugar levels
  • Good for the skin
  • Improve bone health
  • Prevent gallstones
  • Aids weight loss
  • Boost brain function

From promoting overall well-being to helping you get a perfect complexion, these nuts do it all. So make sure you include them in your daily diet.

Lemons

Check out my healthy smoothie recipes to get the benefits of lemons into your diet. This little bright yellow fruit has been extremely popular throughout history. I love using lemon oil and baking soda to clean my bath tubs, sinks, and tile. The refreshing smell of lemon oil is uplifting and rejuvenating.

“Life is too short to count your almonds.”
