Did anyone say cocktails? Oh yes, bring me one Spiced Coconut White Russian cocktail please. Classic red label Smirnoff vodka combined with Kahlua coffee liqueur, poured over ice, topped with delicious tropical coconut cream and garnished with star anise. The perfect winter cocktail! And make sure you try my other festive cocktails such as Pomegranate and Lemon Gin Fizz and Spiced Orange Christmas Whisky Ginger Ale.
This recipe is a twist of the classic White Russian cocktail. I’ve substituted the heavy cream with a healthier option – a coconut cream. And dipped the rim of the glasses in cinnamon sugar and garnished them with star anise to achieve this slight spiced flavour.

The Recipe
It only takes 5 minutes to make this cocktail. All you need are 3 ingredients – Smirnoff vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur and coconut cream. Plus cinnamon sugar (it’s optional: you can substitute for classic white sugar or exclude it) and star anise. But don’t forget the ice!Â
To make the cocktail, start by sprinkling 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar over the surface of a small plate or saucer. Wet the rim of 2 tumblers and then dip it into the sugar so that the entire rim is covered.
Pour vodka and Kahlua over ice into two tumbler glassed and stir until well combined. Then top with coconut cream. Garnish with star anise. And voila – you have a Spiced Coconut White Russian cocktail! Cheers!
