5 Minutes Hummus With Pomegranate

Hummus

Given its popularity, I believe you know what hummus is made from. It is related to the Arabic word for chickpea – so the key ingredient is right there in the name! Tasty hummus is seriously easy to make. In fact, there’s no excuse not to make it yourself! It only takes 5 minutes!

Chickpeas are widely popular across the world. They are delicious legumes which are a rich source of protein, fibre, healthy fats and carbs, and numerous other vitamins and minerals. Chickpeas are versatile seeds which make for a great substitute for meat for vegans and vegetarians. As I have already mentioned above, the heart-healthy legumes are actually the most important ingredient in hummus – the popular Mediterranean dip which is a favourite of many! Chickpeas are so popular that in some parts of the world, they are consumed on a daily basis.

Hummus is the perfect appetiser for any occasion – dinner with the family, friends, summer parties or any other gatherings. Experiment with this basic recipe – you can add your favourite spices to give it an extra flavourful kick! I hope you will love it as much as I do.

“Hummus is a gateway food to everything else in your refrigerator.”
